I wake up in the morning, sunshine just starting out. I am on the equator where days are bright all along. This morning, dew is still on the grass. Looking out on my window is not possible without me blocking the beautiful sun rays from my retina. It’s a lovely day akin that of my dreams. I have many dreams, and live most of them. One of them is creation. I create through my mind and hand. Things that are beautiful, bring joy forever. Outside i see chrysanthemums (mums) coloured white, pink and yellow. Then i move back to bed as its not yet my time to wake up. Such mornings, i compose my creations while on the bed. Am comfortable and relaxed on the bed. Then i read a chapter or two of the books on my reader. I love doing this and it helps me assist other people in getting things that they want.

Desire fulfilled. I’ve tested the samsung n140 netbook and i liked it. Read that like the ‘i kissed a girl, and i liked it’ song. The machine looks great, shiny black with the samsung label placed at the center of the cover neatly and no other doidos. Until that part, its awesome. Open the lid to reveal a well spaced keyboard. Impressive for the netbook. So i got down to work, the netbook is a wINDOW xp box with an atom processor as guessed, and a gb of ram. That’s already much for the xp box to do day to day computing for a kawaida person. The screen is 10inch or so and i got used to it immediately. The box is light, there’s no big deal picking it like a large phone and moving it around. Touchpad is very tiny so i was using a usb laser mouse. Adds up to the whole nice experience because i place the usb on my thigh or head and work goes on. Simple tasks like pdf reading, image editing with paint, taking screenshots and word was fine. The display size for word was wanting. I prefer large monitors to display multiple pages. The sd slot didn’t work, maybe a driver thing but the 3usb ports served fine for the task i.e. Phone, mouse, and flashdisk. Watching a movie on the flashdisk using classic media player was faultless and there were no delays while showing full screen. I was sold upto that point. Then came the devil, was she wearing prada? I don’t know. The tool had no wi-fi. Pretty useless netbook. Who in his right mind buys lame hardware like this? But there was bluetooth to use ur phone as a modem and still move around freely without losing the sometimes crapy network service in Kenya. I give the netbook a 6 out of 10 overall.

Wishes do come true. My chance to test the samsung netbook.

Am going to check out a samsung netbook, i’ll actually be using it to edit my resume. I’ve been reading about netbooks but have never had a chance for a hands on experience. Am very anxious to feel it. Will the keypad be as tiny as i’ve read it to be on several online reviews? Strange things happen in my life concerning my wishes. They keep appearing in not expected ways. I never thought a cousin of mine, who’s a goverment army personnel by profession would even think of computing. The guy was so anti tech, except for tv, and now he’s the one with a netbook. I give all the praise to safaricom marketing strategies and the payment options by equity bank. You guys did some selling there.

I represent guys who’s only net access is through mobile phones. I therefore like to see pages formated on my opera mini nicely on the mobile view so that my web experience is rich. That is not the case with new kenYAN Blogs that run on google’s blogger. The damn thing cannot provide a mobile interface like wordpress does. This post is here to urge all of you on blogger to move to wordpress because it caters for the mobile guy like me and manY of your readers.

Sometimes being held in traffic in nairobi causes your mind to misbehav and curse. As a remedy try to walk more on clean pavement, short distances to beat the jam and get your mind in a creative atmosphere as you exercise your leg muscles. I did it on kenyatta avenue, nairobi. Here’s a shot.

Before meeting the boss don’t go asking the security guy or receptionist how the boss is like. In most cases these individuals do not appreciate the essence of bossing and mistake it for harshness, rudeness and disrespect. The’ll give you the chicken little mindset towards their boss and alter your perception. All they see is the sky falling down.

The oil spill at the american coast, the campaigns for a new constitution in kenya, the deafening sound of vuvuzelas in the south african stadiums during the 2010, all point to the expression of alot and that is what i have had, however it has been on the recieving bit. What i refer to in this posting is discomfort that i endured to get the experience and as a result appreciate the situation. There exists only my mindset towards the experience, which differs with that of other individuals due to our uniqueness. I intend to post this as a series of 4 to start at a letter day when i get enough power supply to last the task. Feel welcomed.

Safaricom has launched an eTXT (e text) service to improve its earning per customer. It’s the latest offering after mxit.
